"Karen's ability to turn my focus to areas where I could develop within the corporate sphere was remarkable. I find I often ask myself, 'What would Karen say?' when faced with challenges. Going through the thought process that she began with me makes all the difference. Working with her was one of the best things I ever did."

"Thanks to what we learned from Leap Strategies about business process, we had the best meeting we ever had. Everyone left the room charged, knowing their input was heard, what had to be done and by whom, and when it was due. It felt great! Two of us even gave each other high fives!"

Executive Coaching
A vice-president who doesn't work effectively with peers.
A manager experiencing high employee turnover.
The director whose staff always works overtime and rarely meets targets.
The high potential director you want to take to the next level.
The chief executive who can't make things happen.
All may be candidates for executive coaching.
Leap Strategies' coaching process focuses on how the performance of the individual being coached affects the performance of the organization. The candidate's performance improves, not in the abstract, but in the context of the company's needs and goals.
We coach high potential executives to take them to the next level, as well as executives needing assistance with acclimation and those with weaknesses that are negatively impacting the organization
A typical coaching engagement includes:
- Establishing context: Developing an understanding of the client's reasons for providing coaching, the client's goals for the coaching process, as well as an initial picture of the impact of the candidate's performance on the organization.
- Conducting a verbal 360 degree review: Using a customized set of assessment questions to conduct individual interviews with the coaching candidate's manager, peers and direct reports. This process allows for follow-up questions, perception of body language, and skillful elicitation of honest responses even from the reticent and protective. We differentiate between the candidate's behavior and the interviewee's perception of that behavior through the discussion and analysis of examples.
- Creating a coaching plan: Working with the client and candidate to set performance goals and identify the types of projects and actions that will enable us to learn more and see the impact of the coaching process. Midway through the process, we evaluate the candidate's progress towards our goals and make adjustments as required. At the same time, we determine whether changes within the organization merit a refocusing of our coaching efforts.
Executive coaching typically includes one-on-one meetings, various types of shadowing, as well as candidate assignments. Our executive coaching is a combination of self-evaluation, education, guidance and the training of specific business skills.
We also offer our 3C Program which provides small groups of new and existing middle managers with a combination of training and coaching.

3C Program
The 3C Program is a unique approach that makes managers more effective immediately. The program combines:
- Core topics that managers and leaders must know to achieve performance excellence
- Customized topics derived from interviews/questionnaire results, an understanding of the client's culture, and on areas of weakness identified during the course of the training.
- Coaching to enable participants to move past ineffective patterns of perception and behavior
This program provides a comfortable environment where participants can ask questions about the handling of specific circumstances, talk about what is difficult for them and identify factors impeding successful execution. Participants leave each session with an approach and tools they can immediately apply.
The 3C Program is designed for both new managers and existing managers at all levels. A typical program includes five 3-hour sessions, attended by four to six managers.
